Tennis glamour girl Maria Sharapova is set to make her comeback early this year and hopes to do so at either Indian Wells or Miami.
Sharapova’s shoulder injury and subsequent absence from the game since August 2008 has resulted in her losing her grip on the top 10 for the first time since Wimbledon in 2004. She is currently ranked 17th.

On her website she states: “Right now I’m aiming for Palm Springs (Indian Wells), or Miami, depending on how things shape up.” These top US events will be her target after pulling out of the Paris and Dubai events.
Getting back to number 1 will be tough with a highly talented group of women making out the top 10 led by recent Australian Open winner and holder of 10 Grand Slams, Serena Williams.
