This Saturday night’s game between the Bombers and Bulldogs will be moved from Darwin to the Telstra Dome in an effort to raise money for the bushfire appeal.

Victorian Bushfire Devastation

Proceeds from the match will be donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

AFL players from all clubs will be helping to man 150 phone lines that channel Seven and Telstra Dome have set up to take donations and the players will also be walking through the crowd collecting money.

League chief, Andrew Demetriou said the proceeds would all go to bushfire relief as well as the estimated $250,000 the AFL would save by not traveling to Darwin. In a further show of generosity Telstra Dome and Ticketmaster will be donating their takings from the game.
